Two Arrested After Traffic Stop; ‘See Something, Say Something’ Results in Arrest of Convicted Felon at Shooting Range
BUNNELL, Fla. — Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies made 10 arrests this past weekend between 6 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, and 6 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026. Deputies handled 869 calls for service and made 127 traffic stops.
Man, Woman Arrested Following Traffic Stop
On Saturday, deputies made two arrests following a traffic stop.
In the early morning hours, at approximately 3:30 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Palm Coast Parkway Northwest in Palm Coast after observing a gray Kia being unable to maintain a lane. During the traffic stop, deputies located two occupants in the vehicle.
When deputies made contact with the driver, he initially provided them with a false name and date of birth, which deputies determined after finding that the name returned information on a subject that did not appear to match the driver. When questioned, the driver provided his real name, and deputies identified him as Monte Aaron, 36, of Palm Coast. Aaron told deputies his driver’s license was suspended and that he lied about his name because he did not want to get in trouble.
Deputies also contacted the passenger, identified as Sasha Harrison, 37, of Bunnell. While speaking with Harrison, deputies determined she was on felony probation for possession of controlled substances. Deputies also determined, based on statements made by both occupants and signs of impairment they observed, that Harrison had been consuming alcohol in violation of her probation.
After ordering the occupants to exit, deputies searched the vehicle and located multiple narcotic pipes in the center console, on the floorboard, and in a backpack in the backseat.
Deputies arrested Aaron for driving while license suspended with knowledge, providing false identification to law enforcement, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies arrested Harrison for violation of probation. Both were transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.

“Giving a false name does not keep you out of trouble; it only compounds your problems and likely guarantees you being arrested with an additional charge,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Deputies determined he shouldn’t have been driving, she shouldn’t have been drinking, and now they both earned themselves a trip to the Green Roof Inn.”
Aaron is being held on a $5,500 bond, while Harrison is being held without bond.
‘See Something, Say Something’ Leads to Arrest of Convicted Felon at Shooting Range
On Sunday, deputies arrested a convicted felon from Ormond Beach after an observant resident reported that he was at a shooting range with a firearm.
At approximately 11:40 a.m., deputies responded to Bunnell Range on Opossum Lane in Bunnell after the Flagler County Emergency Communications Center received an anonymous report that Kai Drane, whom the caller knew to be a convicted felon, was actively shooting at the range. Upon arrival, deputies observed Drane, 23, of Ormond Beach, loading a magazine in one of the shooting lanes through a live security camera.
Deputies contacted Drane and detained him. In the lane Drane was in, deputies located a Smith & Wesson handgun with two magazines with 21 rounds of ammunition. After a search, deputies also found a magazine with 15 rounds of ammunition in Drane’s jacket pocket.
Deputies arrested Drane for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on a $15,000 bond.

“If you are a convicted felon, you cannot have a firearm or ammo, period,” said Sheriff Staly. “I commend the citizen who ‘saw something and said something,’ as they recognized him at the range and knew he shouldn’t have a gun.”
Drane was convicted of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement in December 2022 following an arrest in Volusia County.
