Mar 27, 2025 - On March 26, Tyrese Patterson, 23, of Palm Coast, was convicted and sentenced for his involvement in the murder of Noah Smith in January 2022. Patterson is the last of four suspects involved in Smith’s murder to be sentenced.

Mar 27, 2025 - On March 26, Stephanie Raimundo was convicted and sentenced on multiple charges, including manslaughter, following her January arrest, which resulted from a yearlong investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Major Case Unit proving that her actions contributed to the overdose death of 22-year-old Calvin Stull in January 2024.

Fugitive Ireland Citizen Arrested for Anti-Semitic Hate Crimes, Awaiting Extradition to Flagler County from Ireland

Mar 14, 2025 - On Friday, March 14, 2025, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Ireland authorities had arrested Liam Mackin, 71, on an INTERPOL warrant in Northern Ireland. FCSO’s Fugitive Unit had worked with the U.S. Department of Justice - Office of International Affairs, the FBI and the U.S. Marshal’s Service to have Irish authorities apprehend him on his international fugitive warrant from Flagler County.

CASE UPDATE: Former Paramedic Arrested for Sex Offense Found to Have Committed Fraud, Faces Additional Charges

Mar 6, 2025 - Following an investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office General Assignment Unit and the State Attorney’s Office for the Seventh Circuit, additional charges have been filed against James Melady, a former Flagler County Fire Rescue employee who was arrested in September 2024 for sexually battering an unconscious victim in an ambulance. During the investigation, detectives determined that he had defrauded multiple victims by stealing their credit cards and identification while performing his official duties as a paramedic.

Cuban National Illegally in the U.S. Arrested for Human Trafficking, Set to be Deported

Mar 5, 2025 - The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 70-year-old Cuban national after an investigation by the FCSO Major Case Unit determined he committed human trafficking and sexual activity with a minor. Following the arrest, detectives contacted the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to request a detainer for deportation.
