CASE UPDATE: Daytona Beach Man Sentenced for Committing Sex Act in Front of Child

Date:Thursday, June 4, 2026

Timothy Williams IV, 27, of Daytona Beach, who was arrested in May 2025 following a multi-agency investigation led by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office that revealed he had committed a sex act in front of a young child and recorded it, has been convicted and sentenced.

On June 3, Williams pleaded guilty to lewd or lascivious exhibition. Following Williams’ plea agreement, Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols sentenced him to 180 days in jail. He will also be required to register as a sex offender, will be on sex offender probation for 10 years after his release from jail, and is prohibited from having contact with the child victim.

“Ultimately, ensuring this pervert could never go near this young child again and have the opportunity to do anything else perverted was our main goal in this case,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Anyone who thinks they can victimize a child in Flagler County and get away will find themselves in jail or prison. Another great job by our detectives, partners, and the State Attorney’s Office holding this pervert accountable.”

The investigation that resulted in Williams’ arrest was led by the FCSO Cyber Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children Unit following a Cyber Tip reported by the FBI and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. FCSO was assisted in the investigation by Homeland Security Investigations and the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force.

Williams is currently being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he will serve his jail sentence.
