FCSO Arrests Palm Coast Man for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
Date:Friday, June 5, 2026
BUNNELL, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Palm Coast man found to have been intentionally seeking out and viewing child sexual abuse material. Detectives made the arrest during a search warrant following a four-month joint investigation by the FCSO Cyber Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force.
In February, the FCSO Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit began the investigation after receiving reports from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline concerning files suspected to contain child sexual abuse material being uploaded to a cloud storage service. Through investigative means, Cyber Crimes detectives determined the files were being uploaded from an account belonging to Jayson Jankowski, 33, of Palm Coast.
On June 4, FCSO’s Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit, Digital Forensics Unit, and SWAT team served a search warrant at Jankowski’s residence on Beechwood Lane in Palm Coast, with assistance from members of Homeland Security Investigations and the NEFL INTERCEPT Task Force. During the search warrant, detectives interviewed Jankowski, while the Digital Forensics Unit conducted a search of the residence. During the search, the Digital Forensic Unit’s electronic storage detection dog, K-9 Birdie, located multiple electronic devices suspected to store and access child sexual abuse material, which detectives seized for forensic analysis. Detectives also located evidence linking Jankowski to the online account used to upload the material.
While speaking with detectives, Jankowski admitted to obtaining images and videos depicting minors and using the material for sexual gratification. When detectives asked why he sought out child sexual abuse material, Jankowski stated he enjoyed the “thrill” of it.
Following the search and interview, detectives arrested Jankowski for 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on $250,000 bond.

“Any pervert who gets a ‘thrill’ from seeing children get sexually abused belongs behind bars, and we are going to do everything we can to make sure that’s where they stay,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We work with our partner law enforcement agencies, Operation Light Shine and the INTERCEPT Task Force, and others to protect our children. Guys like this can’t hide in their bedrooms and think we won’t catch them.”
The investigation is ongoing. Additional charges may be added, pending forensic analysis by the Digital Forensics Unit.
