Date:Wednesday, September 2, 2026

BUNNELL, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (ABT) to conduct a joint operation to ensure compliance with underage smoking regulations.

On Wednesday, Aug. 26, the FCSO Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit and Criminal Intelligence Unit assisted Florida ABT with checking all smoke shops in Flagler County. The operation confirmed that no area smoke shops were selling tobacco, nicotine, or hemp products to minors. As part of the effort, ABT investigators fully searched four vape and smoke shops for products prohibited from sale in Florida:

  • Blaze N Flame at 4845 Belle Terre Parkway
  • Savages Smoke Shop at 1475 Palm Coast Parkway NW
  • Nuggs ‘N’ Muggs Liquor and Smoke Shop at 1270 Palm Coast Parkway SW,
  • Jaguar Smoke and Vape 2 at 9 Palm Harbor Village Way W, all in Palm Coast.

During the searches, FCSO detectives assisted ABT officers in seizing 184 single-use, disposable vaping devices found on the Florida Attorney General’s Directory of Nicotine Dispensing Devices that are Attractive to Minors and prohibited in Florida. No arrests were made.

“It’s good news that every shop we checked said no to selling vapes to kids, but refusing the sale at the counter isn’t the whole job,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Shops must ensure the vape devices they sell are not attractive to minors. We’ll keep working with our state partners to seize tobacco devices marketed to children from Flagler County shelves.”
