School Resource Unit

cop-team

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is committed to working closely with Flagler Schools to keep our schools safe, provide professional service in education settings, and improve the relationship between our Deputy Sheriffs and youth in our community.

Through the School Resource Unit, FCSO provides full-time deputies in all Flagler County schools. There is one School Resource Deputy (SRD) assigned to each elementary and middle school, and two deputies assigned to each high school. SRDs are responsible for handling calls for service within their respective schools; providing instruction and counseling on police-related topics to students, faculty, and staff; and helping to ensure a safe area for student learning.
