CASE UPDATE: Live Oak Teen Sentenced for West Flagler Armed Burglaries, Firearm Thefts
BUNNELL, Fla. — Alan Jaramillo-Hernandez, 17, of Live Oak, who was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in September 2025 in connection with a series of thefts and armed burglaries in western Flagler County, has been convicted and sentenced.
On March 4, Jaramillo-Hernandez pleaded guilty on 12 felony charges, including five punishable by life. Following his plea, Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols sentenced him to five years in a Florida Department of Corrections prison, followed by 10 years of probation. Jaramillo-Hernandez was 16 at the time of the crimes but was charged as an adult.
The incidents occurred during the overnight hours of Aug. 28–29, 2025, when Jaramillo-Hernandez and three other suspects targeted approximately 15 properties along County Roads 305, 302, 140, 2006 and 15, as well as Quarter Horse Lane and Garden Lane. The suspects broke into vehicles and garages, stealing five firearms, cash, purses, and other valuables.
Jaramillo-Hernandez ordered to pay restitution to multiple victims. He must also have no contact with the other defendants, including his brother, during his probationary term. He will be subject to conditions including a nighttime curfew.
“This was a tough but fair sentence for serious crimes that terrorized our residents,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Five years in prison is accountability, and the 10 years of probation that follow comes with strict restrictions that will keep this offender under close supervision. We will continue working with our law enforcement partners and the State Attorney’s Office to make sure criminals who come to Flagler County to victimize our community are held responsible.”
Among the four suspects arrested in connection with the string of burglaries, Jaramillo-Hernandez is the first to be convicted. The cases for the other three suspects — Lucas Rebolledo, Dwayne Ryan, and Angel Jaramillo-Hernandez — remain pending.
Jaramillo-Hernandez is currently being held at the Volusia County jail, which has a facility for youthful offenders, awaiting transfer to FDC custody.

“This is yet another tragic example of teens making a series of bad decisions that have life-changing adult consequences,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “I thank State Attorney RJ Larizza for filing these charges in the adult court. This young man found out the hard way that we don’t play around in Flagler County, and he and his other criminal associates that were also arrested should have never driven two hours to victimize our residents. While it’s disappointing to see someone so young go down the wrong path. Hopefully it’ll serve as a lesson for others to change course before they commit crimes. I also again commend our team for quickly solving these cases.”

Suwanee County Teens Arrested on Flagler County Warrants for String of Westside Vehicle Burglaries
BUNNELL, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has obtained arrest warrants for three suspects — Lucas Rebolledo, 19; Dwayne Ryan, 18; and Angel Jaramillo-Hernandez, 18, all of Live Oak — in connection to a string of vehicle burglaries in Bunnell during the overnight hours of Aug. 28–29, 2025.
On Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, deputies responded to multiple reports of vehicle burglaries in western Flagler County. Deputies determined the suspects entered multiple unlocked vehicles from various homes in rural western Flagler County, stealing multiple wallets, purses, a cellphone, and five firearms.
Through investigative means, FCSO’s Real Time Crime Center identified a white Toyota Camry as a suspect vehicle in the area at the time of the burglaries. Analysts with the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) tracked the vehicle to a RaceTrac gas station in St. Johns County, where three suspects were observed entering the store shortly before 7 a.m. on Aug. 29.
Detectives determined Jaramillo-Hernandez borrowed the vehicle during the evening of Aug. 28 and then returned it the following morning. They also determined these same suspects were connected to vehicle burglaries that occurred in Pierce County, Georgia.
Rebolledo is currently being held in Georgia at the Pierce County Detention Center on an FCSO fugitive warrant as well as unrelated charges in Georgia. While speaking with FCSO detectives, Rebolledo admitted to his involvement in the burglaries in Flagler County with the purpose of obtaining firearms. He also stated that the firearms had been sold.
Ryan was arrested in Suwannee County on Sept. 10 for fugitive warrants from Pierce County, Georgia. He is also being held at the Pierce County Detention Center on their local charges and on FCSO’s Fugitive warrant. Jaramillo-Hernandez was arrested in Suwannee County on Sept. 12 on FCSO’s fugitive warrant and was released after posting a $60,000 bond.
“I commend our General Assignment Unit, Community Policing Division, and Real Time Crime Center for their thoroughness and teamwork throughout this investigation, which allowed us to solve these cases quickly and hold these traveling dirtbags accountable for their crimes,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “These dirtbags found out the hard way they shouldn’t have driven for hours and come to Flagler County to commit crimes and think they can get away as our motivated team and Real Time Crime Center technology is the best. Special thank you to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Real Time Crime Center and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia for their assistance. Now let’s put them in prison where they belong.”
All suspects face multiple felony charges, including burglary of a dwelling while armed with a firearm and traveling to commit burglary outside a county of residence, five counts of grand theft of a firearm, five counts of armed burglary, and burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.

“Many of these burglaries involved unlocked vehicles with valuables left inside center consoles. These are crimes of opportunity, and criminals will take advantage even in rural areas. Please remember to lock your car doors and remove firearms, purses, and other valuables to help keep yourself and our community safe,” Sheriff Staly added.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about these burglaries should contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911.
