Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies made 13 arrests this past weekend between 6 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, and 6 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026. Deputies handled 756 calls for service and made 140 traffic stops.

Fugitive Arrested on Multiple Charges

On Friday, deputies arrested Jeffrey Bush, 35, of Deltona, on a Lake County fugitive warrant and narcotics charges.

Friday evening, deputies served a fugitive warrant at a residence on Clarendon Court North in Palm Coast. Bush was wanted in Lake County for violation of probation with an original charge of burglary. Deputies located Bush inside a pickup truck in the driveway, confirmed his identity, and ordered him to exit the vehicle.

As Bush was exiting the vehicle, deputies observed him take an object out of his pocket and throw it on the floorboard of the vehicle. During the arrests, deputies searched Bush and found a cut straw in his pocket, commonly known to be used for snorting illegal narcotics. Deputies then searched the vehicle and located a glasses case containing a glass pipe, two small bags with methamphetamine, and two straws.

Deputies arrested Bush on his active warrant, possession of methamphetamine, and violation of probation. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

“This guy learned two valuable lessons,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “First, if you are a fugitive, don’t expect to hide out in Flagler County. Second, if you try to hide or get rid of your illegal narcotics, our deputies will find what you tried to hide and just add another arrest to your criminal history.”

Two Men Arrested After Gun and Trafficking Amounts of Drugs Found During Traffic Stop

On Saturday, deputies made two arrests for drug-related charges after finding fentanyl, methamphetamine, and more during a traffic stop.

Saturday afternoon, while on patrol along Mahogany Boulevard in Bunnell, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Honda sedan for speeding. During the traffic stop, deputies encountered the driver, identified as Uriah Sutliff, 24, of Debary, and three passengers. Deputies asked Sutliff for his driver’s license and vehicle documents, but he was unable to provide any. Deputies determined Sutliff did not possess a valid license and detained him for driving without a license. Deputies determined Sutliff had knowledge he should not have been driving, as he had previously been arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Deputies then conducted an inventory of the vehicle prior to it being towed. Inside the glove compartment, deputies located a Crown Royal bag containing several individually packaged bags of narcotics, which they later identified as fentanyl, methamphetamine, mushrooms, and alprazolam. Deputies also found a handgun, two scales, and more empty plastic bags.

Deputies interviewed Sutliff and the other occupants and determined the items belonged to Sutliff, who claimed he did not know the narcotics were in the vehicle but stated they did not belong to any of the other occupants.

Deputies arrested Sutliff for driving while license suspended (second offense), trafficking in methamphetamine, four counts of possession of fentanyl, four counts of possession of alprazolam, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies also arrested one of the other occupants, Bernard Stancheck, 25, of Bunnell, for possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation after they located a straw with burnt methamphetamine residue on him.

“What started as a traffic stop turned into a drug bust getting fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other poison off the street,” said Sheriff Staly. “This was a great job by deputies and a cautionary tale for poison peddlers to stay out of Flagler County.”

Both Sutliff and Stancheck were transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. Sutliff is being held on a $183,500 bond and Stancheck is being held without bond.

Both have criminal histories with previous arrests. Sutliff was previously arrested for fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement and driving while license suspended. Stancheck has been arrested numerous times for drug-related charges, including multiple arrests for possession of fentanyl, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
