Youth Arrested After Exposing Himself to Multiple Women
BUNNELL, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 16-year-old boy who exposed himself to multiple women. The boy was determined to be the suspect in three cases involving women in Palm Coast.
On Jan. 30, deputies responded to a reported sex offense in the R-Section of Palm Coast. The victim, who was an elderly person, told deputies she was walking on Rydell Lane when a male in a white pickup truck stopped to ask her for directions to a nearby park. The victim stated that while she was providing directions, she saw the male touching his exposed genitals. The victim described the suspect as having darker skin and curly hair, but she could not further identify the make, model, or license plate of the truck.
On Feb. 11, deputies responded to two similar incidents in the P-Section of Palm Coast. Both victims, one of whom was an elderly person, told deputies they were walking on Piedmont Drive when a young Hispanic male in a white Toyota Tundra pulled over to ask for directions to the nearest McDonald’s. Both victims also stated the male unzipped his pants, exposed his genitals, and made suggestive remarks.
Shortly after, deputies located the truck and conducted a traffic stop after observing multiple traffic violations. During the traffic stop, deputies identified the driver as Rene Alas Aleman, 16, of Palm Coast, and detained him as a suspect in the investigation. During the investigation, the victims from both February incidents positively identified him as the suspect.
Deputies made contact with Alas Aleman’s mother, who allowed deputies to interview him. While speaking to deputies, Alas Aleman claimed the incidents were a prank, which he thought would be funny.
At the conclusion of the interview, deputies arrested Alas Aleman for lewd or lascivious exhibition in the presence of an elderly person and two counts of exposure of sexual organs. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.

After Alas Aleman’s arrest, Major Case Unit detectives investigating the January incident responded to interview him. Alas Aleman told detectives that he got the idea to intentionally find women walking by themselves from videos he saw on a pornography website. Following the interview, detectives determined that Alas Aleman had also committed the January incident and arrested him on an additional charge of lewd or lascivious exhibition in the presence of an elderly person.
“This is extremely disturbing behavior and is a textbook example of how serious sex offenders start their perverted actions,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “This is another reason that parents need to be the Sheriff in their home and know what their kids are doing and watching on the internet. I hope he gets the help he obviously needs before he escalates and lands in prison for life. I commend our deputies and detectives who found the vehicle, made the arrest, and got this pervert off the streets.”
Following his arrests and booking at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, Alas Aleman was turned over to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice who later released him to his parents.###
